Advice for Road Runners: The Brooks Women's Ghost 16 Running Shoes in the Black/Black/Ebony colourway now feature DNA LOFT v3 cushioning. This foam is lighter, softer, and more responsive in comparison to previously used DNA LOFT v2 cushioning.
This colourway is perfect if you're searching for all-black running shoes.
Underfoot Feel
The nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning in the Brooks Ghost 16 Running Shoes is the key update. While this foam doesn't feel overly soft, it should feel very protective underfoot. It also offers a responsive ride, which should help you to maintain your pace.
One of the best features of the Ghost 16 cushioning is how stable it feels.
An updated RoadTack rubber offers better durability.
Upper Fit
The all-black upper is an engineered air mesh. This should feel soft and comfortable. The toe box should feel spacious and roomy.
It's worth noting that the Brooks Ghost 16 Running Shoes are almost identical in fit to the previous model. We're highlighting this because we understand there are a lot of Ghost fans who will want to keep running in them.
Ideal Run Type
The type of cushioning on offer in the Brooks Women's Ghost 16 Running Shoes is ideal for slower paced runs. This is because it offers a lot of protection and should feel very comfortable.
The all-black colourway in the Ghost 16 also makes them an excellent option for walking.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
